Hello there! I'm Margaret, but you can call me Byrdie since flying around is my favorite past time. Well, to be honest, traveling PLUS creating art is where my heart lies. Combining these two passions is the perfect cocktail to keep me smiling, and having you join me here makes it that much more fun. Welcome to my on-line world of all things creative!
I'm fairly certain I was born with wanderlust, or at least bitten by the travel bug when I was a very young child. When you know early what your passion is, you magically make things happen. Being an artist is also in my DNA, so exploring my creativity bubbled up fast and furious by the time I was a teen.
Although life has tugged me in different directions in terms of livelihood, I've managed to weave my creativity into a daily practice that keeps me excited about life. I've been lucky to travel the world with my work, and this journey has greatly influenced my artistic vision. The two are now intrinsically connected and thrive together.
When I'm not globetrotting, trying to find the next inspiring site for an installation, I'm at my home studio, north of Seattle, playing with natural materials for my mixed media art practice. Some days I have to pinch myself to realize this charming way of life is not a dream, but my very lucky path to run and explore.
